Recognise Hollyoaks’ Nadira Valli? Here’s where you’ve seen her before | The Sun

NADIRA Valli first stepped into Chester in March, 2022, before being thrown into a love triangle with Juliet Nightingale.

However, some Hollyoaks fans could immediately recognise actress Ashling O'Shea in another series made available on Netflix.

Before she became a familiar face on Channel 4, the 24-year-old was part of the line-up in the 2020 Get Even spin-off series Rebel Cheer Squad.

Ashling took on the role of student Rumi Josh in the show which was dropped on BBC iPlayer in February, 2022, one month before she first settled in Hollyoaks.

On July 29, 2022, Ashling then announced the teen thriller had landed on Netflix.

The drama series focuses on a group of teenage girls who dedicated their school life to expose bullies and is based on one of the books from the Don't Get Mad series by author Gretchen McNeil.

As Hollyoaks fans know, Ashling has since spent the last five months in Hollyoaks as Nadira Valli, a childhood friend of Shaq Qureshi.

Nadira and Shaq became engaged when the latter convinced her to marry him, despite his unfinished business with former flame Verity Hutchinson.

But every heart-warming romance has twists and turns in the Chester village and things became even more complicated when Nadira ended up developing feelings for fellow resident Juliet Nightingale.

The pair embarked on an affair, despite Juliet already being in a relationship with Peri Lomax and Nadira denied having any feelings for her.

In May, 2022, Nadira's father Kamal arrived in Hollyoaks and Shaq told him about their engagement.

After Kamal gave Shaq money to fund the wedding, he agreed with Nadira to set the date for October 24, but her feelings for Juliet continued.

Meanwhile, Juliet and Peri began having relationship problems, which only cemented Nadira's feelings.

Juliet eventually grew tired of Nadira not committing to her and took her to the City Wall where she urged her to make a decision about her future.

Celebrations are afoot in the village as Nadira remains determined to marry Shaq despite not loving him.

However, in scenes due to air next week, Nadira and Juliet's secret may finally be unveiled.

Off-screen, Ashling O'Shea leads a drama-free life, sharing snaps of her day-to-day on social media.

Her Instagram account followed by 3.2k fans mainly focuses on her projects and her career as an actress although she occasionally drops shots of her life away from the spotlight.
