Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was left at a loss for words in EastEnders tonight (January 14) as Max Branning (Jake Wood) refused to help her in her quest to clear Tina’s (Luisa Bradshaw-White) name.
Tina found herself prime suspect in the attack on Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), and therefore considered going on the run.
Shirley (Linda Henry) and Mick (Danny Dyer) believe that’s exactly what she did, when in reality, Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) murdered her, after she discovered he killed Chantelle (Jessica Plummer).
The Carter clan area hellbent on locating Tina, and therefore Gray tried his utmost to cover his tracks, as he texted Shirley from Tina’s phone, with a message that more or less ‘confirmed’ Tina attacked Ian.
Gray’s plan backfired, as the text message has made Shirley and Mick all the more determined to track Tina down, as they’re certain she’s innocent.
Linda is equally determined to help her family, and therefore she asked Max for help, hoping that he would come clean to the police about having got rid of the Lucy Beale award.
Given that this was the weapon used to attack Ian, Linda argued that it wouldn’t have Tina’s fingerprints on it, and therefore it could be used to confirm her innocence.
However, Max — still reeling from Linda’s previous comments about how he was
obviously the ‘biggest mistake’ she’s ever made — declined to help.
Will Max reconsider?
