Time in lockdown has been an interesting journey for us all, and when it comes to Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) in EastEnders, being confined to a flat has been a positive turn of events.
Before the show went off air, Ruby and Martin were flirting and there was certainly hints that something may blossom between the two of them.
When we re-join the Walford residents, they have made their relationship official. But, with a crisis on the way for Ruby in the form of her identity being stolen, will this be the first in a potentially long line of problems for her and Martin?
The two of them try to ignore Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) snarky comments, and later Ruby finds out that someone’s stolen her identity and has been making outlandish purchases.
Thinking she can handle it herself; she keeps it a secret and doesn’t tell Martin.
Later, she battles with the bank over fraudulent charges but she brushes it off to Martin.
When Vinny (Shiv Jalota) asks Ruby about the club reopening, she can’t be certain as her finances aren’t in the best place but Vinny suggests a way to sort things out…
With Ruby’s money being drained and Vinny’s offer fresh in her mind, will she accept?
And how will she deal with the continuous loss of money as a mysterious person out for revenge steals her identity?
EastEnders returns Monday, September 7 at 8:05pm on BBC One.
