Stacey Solomon posts heartbreaking clip of son Rex waiting at the front door for Joe Swash to come home

STACEY Solomon shared an adorable clip of her son Rex waiting at the front door for his dad Joe Swash to arrive home.

The one-year-old stood on the welcome mat underneath a large wreath, eagerly awaiting his daddy.

Using a voice distorting filter, Stacey asked: "Who are you waiting for?"

Rex replied: "Daddy."

Stacey then said: "Say 'hurry up, daddy'."

But a shy Rex let out a roar and ran away as Stacey chuckled.

Last night Stacey and Joe got in the festive spirit tonight as they cuddled up to their kids wearing matching pyjamas.

Stacey and Joe posed for a photo with Rex and her sons Zachary and Leighton in front of their gorgeous Christmas tree at home.

Each family member had their name printed on their Ivy Lace Childrenswear pyjama top followed by the word 'believes'.

Stacey, 31, wrote on Instagram: "Hello Christmas 🎄 It’s finally up! And the matching outfits are back again 😂

"Sorry family but it’s my favourite thing in the world and I know I won’t get these chances forever, so I’m making the most of it while I can 🖤 Even Theo jumped in for the family photo which NEVER HAPPENS. If only cats liked to sit still 😂 "

Thinking of those less fortunate, Stacey added: "I feel so late this year but Christmas feels very different this year too. I feel so lucky to even have a tree let alone a family under it. I know so many won’t have there loved ones with them 😔 Thinking of you and anyone struggling at the moment. love you all to the moon and back."

The star's fans were impressed by her decorations, which included letters spelling out Merry Christmas, a frosted tree, white stockings and a Santa dressed in white.

One said: "LOVE LOVE LOVE❤️ How lush are your matchy pjs 😍😍x

Another said: "Amazing photo x make some magical memories for you all x"

Last week Stacey sounded emotional as she told fans she couldn't have gotten through the coronavirus pandemic without them.

The Loose Women host posed with her family outside her Essex pad and unveiled a stunning Christmas makeover at her home.

The family were all wearing matching white wooly jumpers for the adorable shot, surrounded by fake snow, trees and wooden reindeer.

Viewers of her Instagram Story got to see her putting the finishing touches to the remarkable door display before her post.

The star spoke about how grateful she is to her fans, but acknowledged the "heartache and loss" of the year so far.

She added: "We couldn't have done some days without you."

In a long Instagram post, Stacey began: "Hello December… The winter door is finally finished 😬❄️.

"This morning was the most beautiful sunny December day I’ve ever seen, so I woke everyone up really early just to put our matching outfits on and take a picture 😂.

"Luckily it was something different from the everyday school run and I had advent calendars to persuade them 😂 so they were on board 🙏🏼.

"It feels like December has just come around in a flash but at the same time this year has hardly 'flown by'

"So I just wanted to say… It’s been really awful for so many over the past months and is still so hard for lots… I’m so sorry for all those who have struggled and for all of the heartache and loss of this year.

"I’m so thankful for you all. Every single message, bit of kindness, the laughs and the tears.

"You made this year such a special one for us so far, and we couldn’t have done some days without you 🖤.

"Love you to the moon and back. 🖤 from Me, Joe and ALL of our boys 🖤."
