The Crown Princess Diana star Emma Corrin strikes up unlikely friendship with Harry Styles

RISING actress Emma Corrin is about to be catapulted to stardom by playing Princess Diana in The Crown – and she’s been getting showbiz advice from her very own Prince Charming.

I can reveal she has struck up an unlikely A-list friendship with singer Harry Styles.

She has long been a fan of the former One Direction star’s tunes and they were finally introduced last year when she went to one of his gigs.

And she could be in line for some words of wisdom from Harry as they have a lot of mutual friends.

A source said: “There’s nothing romantic between Harry and Emma but they became friends because they know loads of the same people.

“She is expecting her life to change dramatically when The Crown airs, because suddenly everyone will be interested in who she is, so it’s nice to have pals like Harry who know how to deal with fame.

“As well as having mutual friends, she has the same stylist as Harry, so it’s quite a nice link between them. They’re both private people so no one seems to realise they are actually mates.”

It was announced last year that newbie Emma would be playing Princess Di in the Netflix drama and she will finally hit the screens in November, when the fourth series premieres.

It will be a big break for her as it’s expected Diana will feature heavily in the show, which will mean plenty of screen time for Emma.

Meanwhile, Harry has taken time out following the success of his hit second album Fine Line, which he will tour next year if restrictions on large concerts are eased in time.

While his former bandmate Liam has just got engaged, Harry has not had a serious relationship since he split from model Camille Rowe in 2018.

The heartbreak of that separation inspired his album, which has spent a whopping 37 weeks in the Top Ten.

Harry had better get himself back out there if he wants some inspiration for the next record.

Giving it L-Arg in Spain

THERE’S a bit less to love after his 3st weight loss, but James “Arg” Argent still had plenty to go round during a gig in Spain.

The former Towie star was surrounded by women as he performed at his cousin Elliott Wright’s bar Olivia’s in Marbella.

Arg, who’s been single since he was dumped by his on-off girlfriend Gemma Collins last month, looked in his element as he was hugged and squeezed by his glamorous fans.

As well as performing, Arg posed for a series of selfies with the crowd of women, right, who had turned up to watch him sing.

Arg flew out to Spain once lockdown ended and earlier this month kick-started his diet by heading to Jason Vale’s juice retreat in Portugal.

By the look of all these admirers, it has certainly done the trick.

Bizmeter charts

DJ Joel Corry has got a long-term deal with record label Atlantic after his tune with MNEK lodged a sixth consecutive week at No1.

Despite the outrage over WAP’s explicit lyrics, a TikTok dance challenge to the song has helped Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion stay strong at No2.

K-POP sensations BTS have the highest new entry of the week with Dynamite. It has gone straight in at No3, ahead of Stormzy’s collab.

Royal wee

IT turns out at least one throne room in Kensington Palace is not all that grand.

Radio 1 DJ Chris Stark has revealed he was underwhelmed after visiting the royal loos while recording Peter Crouch’s podcast with Prince William.

He said of the Kensington Palace facilities: “Very under- whelming. I thought there’d be a butler in there and there wasn’t. If anything, it struggled to flush properly. I expected more from that toilet.”

Chris also admitted he shocked Wills’ aides with his language.

Appearing on Fubar Radio’s Fan Club show, he added: “I must have been three or four beers in and I really needed a p**s. “I looked up at him [William] and said: ‘Should I go for a quick p**s now?’

“And the people behind him, it was amazing because it was like something they had never had to experience before.

“I was running around Kensington Palace trying to find where the toilet was.”

DAISY Ridley struggled to find work after last year’s Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, having auditioned for parts.

She said: “At the beginning of the year nothing was coming through. I was like, ‘Aww! No one wants to employ me’.”

Madge role for Julia?

MADONNA has just announced her next project will be a movie – and fans reckon she’s found a leading lady to play the singer.

After I told how the flick would be a biopic, they noticed the Queen of Pop, right, and her talent manager Guy Oseary have followed Ozark actress Julia Garner on Instagram.

Madonna is writing the screenplay for a film, based on her stratospheric rise to the top.

Julia, who plays Ruth Langmore in the Netflix drama, looks the spitting image of Madonna in her younger years thanks to those blonde curls.

Getting her on board would be a clever move.
