What the Bridgerton Cast Looks Like in Real Life

Bridgerton—the Shonda Rhimes-produced period romp, based on Julia Quinn’s beloved series of romance novels—is one of Netflix’s biggest shows. Naturally, the streaming service wrangled some major talent for the series, including the woman, the myth, the legend, Julie Andrews. Below, meet the whole cast of the ensemble show, and see what they look like when not in Bridgerton‘s lavish costumes.

Jonathan Bailey (Broadchurch, Crashing) plays Anthony Bridgerton, the Bridgertons’ eldest son and—as the family’s patriarch has died—its default leader.

Luke Thompson (Misbehavior) plays Benedict Bridgerton, the family’s somewhat lost second son.

Actor Luke Newton, known for his roles in Disney show The Lodge and UK series The Cut, plays Colin Bridgerton, the kindhearted third Bridgerton brother.

Phoebe Dynevor, best known as Younger‘s Clare, plays Daphne Bridgerton, the first Bridgerton daughter to enter the marriage market.

Claudia Jessie is no stranger to period dramas, having played Amelia Sedley in 2017’s TV miniseries Vanity Fair. In Bridgerton, she takes on the role of Eloise Bridgerton, the clan’s wisecracking, second-eldest daughter.

Regé-Jean Page (Sylvie’s Love, For the People)is the actor behind Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings—a childhood friend of Anthony Bridgerton’s and the heartthrob of the first season. (Though sadly, he has left the series.)

Adjoa Andoh, a celebrated stage actress known to TV and film audiences for her turns in Invictus and Silent Witness, plays the lightly mischievous Lady Danbury, a mother figure to the Duke of Hastings.

Veteran actress Polly Walker (Clash of the Titans, Emma) portrays Portia Featherington, a domineering mother with a taste for extremely bright clothing.

Bessie Carter (Beecham House) plays Prudence Featherington, one of two Featherington daughters struggling to find eligible (and willing) bachelors.

Harriet Cains (Marcella) plays Phillipa Featherington, the second of Violet’s husband-seeking daughters.

Nicola Coughlan, the breakout actress known for her role in Derry Girls, plays Penelope Featherington, a close friend of Eloise Bridgerton’s and the youngest Featherington daughter.

Ruby Barker, an up-and-coming actress known for her work in Wolfblood and the indie film How to Stop a Recurring Dream, plays Marina Thompson, a distant relative of the Featheringtons’, sent by her parents to find a match during the London season.

Freddie Stroma—known to Pitch Perfect fans as Luke and Harry Potter fans as Cormac McLaggen—is the actor behind Prince Friederich, a foreign royal visiting his relative Queen Charlotte in season one.

Kathryn Drysdale (Vanity Fair, The Windsors) portrays dressmaker Genevieve Delacroix.

Simone Ashley (Sex Education) is one of the newest Bridgerton stars. The actress plays Anthony Bridgerton’s love interest, Kate Sharma, in season 2.

Charithra Chandran (Alex Rider) plays Kate’s little sister, Edwina Sharma, in season 2—who unexpectedly finds herself in a love triangle with her sibling and Anthony Bridgerton.

Calam Lynch (Derry Girls) also joins the cast in season 2, playing Theo Sharpe, a hardworking printer’s assistant.

Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co.) portrays the sixth-eldest—and most reserved—Bridgerton sibling.

Sandra Teles portrays Lucy Granville in the first season, the wife of Henry Granville. She’s previously appeared in EastEnders, Doctor Who, and Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Joanna Bobin (Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Broken News) plays Lady Cowper, the pushy mom willing to do whatever it takes to have her daughter marry royalty.

Florence Hunt basically grew up on the set of Bridgerton, starring as Hyacinth, the youngest Bridgerton child.

The same goes for Will Tilston, who plays Gregory Bridgerton, Hyacinth’s older brother.
