Our Yorkshire Farm airs on Channel 5 and the escapist series has been on hiatus for some time whilst filming takes place. Yorkshire shepherdess Amanda Owen has been keeping fans up to date, assuring them the much-loved show would return soon. In her latest update, she made an important announcement about the show’s imminent return date.
When is Our Yorkshire Farm back on?
Amanda Owen, her husband Clive and their nine children have been keeping viewers entertained on the series for many years.
The family-friendly series has provided viewers with the perfect sense of escapism through difficult times.
However, fans were heartbroken when the show was taken off Channel 5, and they were worried it would not return.
Yet the network and the Owen family reassured everyone that new episodes were on the way.
Amanda has since expressed her excitement as the series returns to screens on Tuesday, October 5.
The new episodes, which promise to explore new adventures and new beginnings, will sit in their regular weekly slot.
The 47-year-old shepherdess took to her Twitter account to share a post from Channel 5 about the new series.
She said: “I have SOOOOOOO much catching up to do.
“It’s all been happening but firstly and most importantly I must announce that there’s a new series of Our Yorkshire Farm starting next week on @channel5_tv #yorkshire #OurYorkshireFarm #channel5.”
Fans flocked to the comments to express their excitement about the show returning, and they are hoping the final episode of the fourth season will open the new series.
Will Our Yorkshire Farm season 4 episode 8 air?
Viewers were sad to see the last episode of season four was dropped from the TV schedule to make way for new shows.
Hopefully, the fifth season will pick up directly from where things were left, so fans will not miss anything.
In a separate Tweet, Amanda said: “Our Yorkshire Farm returns for a new series on @channel5_tv next week.
“You’ll be seeing how life becomes difficult when winter bites. Sub zero temperatures, heavy snowfall and blizzards strike.”
In the teaser for the new episodes, Amanda is heard explaining how all of her children had been studying at home.
The series should touch on how the family has continued to run Ravenseat farm during the coronavirus pandemic.
They have also been renovating their new home away from Ravenseat, which should be ready very soon.
Diane Wilson responded on Twitter: “That will cheer us all up. It is so wonderful following your fantastic family on the farm.
“Your simplistic life and family values are a breath of fresh air. We can see how happy you are with the life you have built and worked so hard for. Thank you for sharing it with us.”#
Lorraine Foster added: “I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. You have an extraordinary family and I’m so grateful that you share your life & stunning scenery with us.
“From what you say though, I better put on any extra vest or two!”
The new series will be made up of seven episodes, which will air weekly on Tuesdays from 9pm.
The official synopsis for the first hour-long episode says: “The family tackle their second lockdown during one of the worst winters they have ever faced, and have to juggle work on the farm with the childrens’ homeschooling.
“Later, when an arctic blizzard batters the farm, Amanda and Clive face a desperate search to find their lost sheep, and Clemmie and the rest of the children have to give newborn Misty and the rest of their calves constant care in the freezing cold.”
The series boxset is available to stream on My5 if fans wish to remind themselves of what happened last time.
