EastEnders’ 35th anniversary week is in full swing and the long-awaited boat party will soon claim at least one life.
BBC bosses are keeping as tight-lipped as possible about what follows the tragedy in which at least one passenger meets their end.
As we wait with bated breath, here’s what we know about which characters are at risk and why…
Who dies in the EastEnders boat party?
Linda and Mick are two of those in danger of meeting their end, as Linda is stuck below deck and Mick has refused to leave her side.
He declared his love for his wife, telling her: ‘If this boat goes down, I’m going down with ya.’ Could these be some famous last words?
They aren’t the only Carters who could be in danger either.
Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) is the sweet Carter who’s happy getting along with pretty much everyone – which would make it all the more heartbreaking if she were the one to end up dead and buried.
Pictures have shown her calling out for Mick and boarding a rescue dinghy – could the soap turn the storyline on its head and have her be a tragic shock victim?
Ian Beale meanwhile had no idea that, when he confronted Dennis (Bleu Landau) at the boat party and locked him in a cabin below deck, he could unwittingly be consigning him to an untimely end.
Ian returned to help Dennis as the room filled with water, but he ended up dropping the keys which would have freed the youngster. Will Ian, who looked ready to flee, really leave Denny to die?
It’s been confirmed that Bex (Jasmine Armfield) is leaving EastEnders, and it’s been suggested that she makes a grim departure, with recent pictures showing Jack (Scott Maslen) – who has had a close bond with Bex in the past – watching frantically from the dock.
Tuesday night’s instalment saw her taken ill on the boat after taking pills given to her by Dotty (Milly Zero)’s supplier – which we later learned were contaminated after police paid Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) a visit to inform her of this, telling her the dealer had been arrested and Bex’s number found on her phone.
Could Bex die as a result of what she’s taken?
As if that wasn’t enough drama for our nerves, the deadly feud between Ben, Phil and Keanu is set to reach boiling point across the week after Keanu kidnapped Callum (Tony Clay) – and we can expect even more violence as they finally confront one another.
Could this end up with one or even all three of them dead?
EastEnders continues tonight at 7:30pm on BBC One.
