Boris Johnson is set to hold a press conference today to update the nation on the rollout of the Covid vaccine.

The PM will address the nation this afternoon to unveil a new Army-led Covid vaccine distribution plan which is hoped will vaccinate millions of Brits by the middle of next month.

Mr Johnson is set to address the public from Downing Street this evening – Thursday, January 7.

He is expected to speak at 5pm from Downing Street.

The PM will be joined by a senior military figure involved in the vital plans as well as NHS England chief Sir Simon Stevens.

Mr Johnson is set to unveil a new Covid vaccine plan which will see the military step in to help distribute the vaccines.

The roll-out has been drawn up by top military battlefield planners and is set to see a huge boost in the amount of Brits receiving the jab.

MoD chiefs have been ordered to come up with plans for the even distribution of the jab over the coming weeks for all those that need it.

Military will be used across the country to help distribute the vaccine to help meet the PM's ambitious target to vaccinate 13 million Brits by mid-February.
