Celtic ultra tells radio host he’s ‘getting it’ in chilling postal death threat

A popular sports radio presenter has revealed he was sent a chilling death threat from someone claiming to a be a member of a Celtic ultras fan group.

Talksports's Alan Brazil, himself a Hoops fan, said he received a picture of a gun in the post.

He said it was from somebody claiming to be a member of the Green Brigade.

The ex-Scotland international said the message read: "The next time you come to Glasgow you're getting it."

But he said he did not take any legal action.

Brazil continued: "I don't mind saying it now, I didn't take any action with it.

"But a while ago someone so-called from that Brigade sent a picture of a gun to me saying 'Next time you come to Glasgow you're getting it'.

"Can you believe that? I'm serious. I don't even know what I said."

He said he was baffled by the letter and was at a loss to understand what he had done to upset the sender.

On Thursday, Celtic will impose a partial closure of the Green Brigade section of their ground for Thursday's Europa League clash with Rennes, reports Daily Record.

The Bhoys were fined £12,900 by Uefa last week for displaying an "illicit banner" and for chanting when they played Lazio last month.

The Italians were also fined, and before the game some of their supporters were filmed making Nazi salutes in the streets of Glasgow.
