Princess Charlotte was spotted reminding Prince George of royal protocol as they stood alongside the Queen's coffin earlier today (Monday, September 19).
It is understood that Prince William and Kate Middleton had conversations with their children before deciding whether they would attend their great-grandmother's funeral, with George, nine, and Charlotte, seven, present while Prince Louis, four, stayed at home.
The two young royals were seen walking beside the Prince and Princess of Wales as they followed the Queen's coffin into Westminster Abbey.

Following the service, a procession took the coffin to Wellington Arch where it was transferred into a hearse and taken to Windsor. It was during this part of proceedings that Charlotte was seen whispering to her older brother, reports the Mirror.
She appeared to tell George "you need to bow" when the Queen's coffin went past them.
Charlotte then brought back memories of her great-grandmother as she pointed with her finger, just like the Queen used to do.
George did follow his sister's advice as he was seen bowing his head as a sign of respect to Her Majesty when her coffin began to drive off.
Many royal fans took to Twitter to praise the two young royals for how they conducted themselves during the heartbreaking funeral.
One viewer said: "Well done to George & Charlotte who behaved impeccably. Proud to be #British."
"Prince George and Princess Charlotte setting the example of kids participating in the service," added another.
A third agreed: "George and Charlotte are actually so adorable, my heart."
"Prince George and Princess Charlotte are a credit to their parents. At 9 and 7 year old to sit still and quietly for that long…well I’m 38 and I’d struggle without fidgeting," tweeted a fourth.
