A nine-year-old girl was shot dead following her mother's "stupid" Facebook argument over parenting styles.
Sequoya Bacon-Jones was killed while playing outside of an apartment complex in New Jersey on March 25 after her mother, Sacha Bacon-Jones had argued with another woman online.
Sacha alleges that the incident escalated from a social media dispute to them arguing in the courtyard area of an apartment complex where several children were playing.
But as the situation got out of hand, one of the women's brothers, Isiah Roberts, 19, and another man got involved before Roberts allegedly fired several shots.
The child was struck in her upper body by one shot as she tried to flee the scene with the other children.
After realising his bullet had hit the child, Roberts is said to have fled the scene while residents called 911, noting the make and model of his car, police say.
He was tracked down after going on the run for several days in Hamilton, New Jersey where he fled on foot in a wooded area on Route 129 and had planned to jump in the nearby river.
However, police caught him and he is now facing murder charges.

Bacon-Jones was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and was initially kept stable following emergency surgery.
But just before midnight on March 25 Bacon-Jones died.
Sacha has since paid tribute to her daughter, telling New Jersey 101.5.: "She came into this world fighting, she left this world fighting, but she loved to live, she loved to make people laugh, she loved to make them smile.
"She loved school, she loved being active, she loved going outside and playing with her friends, she loved skating and singing and making TikToks, and now all I have are memories."
