Litter-pickers find bin bag full of x-rated items with kinky boots and sex toy

Volunteer litter-pickers got quite the shock when they discovered a bag brimming with x-rated items in a quaint West Yorkshire village.

Stephen Ives and his wife Debbie were cleaning up a car park near Harehills Lane in Oakworth on Wednesday when they pulled an abandoned bin bag out of a stream.

The fly-tipped bag then ripped, revealing a pair of red high-heeled knee-length boots and a bottle of Prosecco inside, Yorkshire Live reports.

Debbie then emptied the heavy boots out, thinking they were full of water. Instead, out dropped a plastic tortoise, a magnifying glass, and a large pink sex toy.

"They were quite heavy, and usually when we're picking up bottles they've got water in them so we turn them upside-down," Debbie said.

"So, I thought, I'll just turn them upside-down to get all the water out.

"And as you can see from the picture, something else fell out! We nearly wet ourselves laughing!"

It's not the only strange thing they've found whilst clearing litter from Oakworth's roads.

"We found a toilet one year, a fancy Victorian toilet!" Debbie added.

"And we regularly find ladies underwear and lots of weird things like that."

For the past six years, Stephen and Debbie Ives have helped to organise litter-picks in the area, calling it 'Operation Oakworth'.

The group has about 20 regular litter-pickers around the village, and regularly come together as a group to collect rubbish, Covid-restrictions permitting.

Rather than give up anything for Lent, they decided to conduct litter-picks every week to keep the village clean.

In the past six weeks, they have collected 265 bags of rubbish.

Today, the group organised a litter-pick at Oakworth Juniors Football Club, with the young team-members, parents and coaches collecting 21 bags of rubbish from the playing fields.

Mr Ives is proud of the efforts put in by litter-pickers across Oakworth, and said: "There's so much on in the UK at the moment about all the litter.

"But our village is looking fantastic."

Oakworth was the filming location of the classic 1970 film The Railway Children.
