An Ohio man shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself in a suspected murder-suicide, police said.
The grisly incident unfolded inside the couple’s home in the Ohio city of Lima last week, according to authorities.
Officers with the Lima Police Department were called to the Ford Avenue residence around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday in connection with a possible shooting, police said.
When they entered the home, they found Mikki Starr, 27, and Zachary Starr, 29, dead with gunshot wounds, cops said.
Investigators believe Zachary shot Mikki, then turned the gun on himself, according to the police department.
The bodies were sent to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
Detective Sgt. Jason Garlock of the Lima Police Department told the Lima News that relatives told authorities there were alarming messages from Zachary online.
“We had information from family members that there were some social media messages that gave us the indication that’s what we’re probably looking at right now,” Garlock said.
The couple met in May 2012 and married in June 2017, according to the news outlet. They had two children — a son and a daughter.
