Urgent search for missing boy, 2, taken by his dad from Oxfordshire home at 1am

POLICE have launched an urgent hunt for a missing two-year-old boy taken by his dad in the early hours of this morning.

Andrew Junior Leighton was taken from his home near Chalgrove, Oxfordshire at around 1.25am today.

The toddler was wearing a blue t-shirt with ‘surf legend’ written on the front and a nappy, police said.

Cops believe the dad and son are travelling in a silver Ford Focus with the registration ending ‘ANF’.

They may be heading towards the Reading area, Thames Valley Police said today.

A family photo released by police shows smiling Andrew in a paddling pool.

Police urged Andrew's dad to contact them as they mounted an appeal for help to find the little boy.

Inspector Angela Murray said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Andrew or knows where he is to please come forward.

“We believe Andrew is with his father and would urge him to make contact with police.

“Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting reference 43210330892.”
