TikTok user That Other Hannah called out plus-size clothing brand Torrid for its choice of material, price, and design for their latest collection.
The app influencer is plus-size and claimed to be disappointed in Torrid’s clothing options.
Hannah began getting backlash from TikTokers for slamming Torrid and said that the brand put her influencing job at risk due to the negative attention she got.
In an Instagram post, Hannah claimed an “anonymous” user tried to get her “fired” from her job after she went on a rant about Torrid.
She also said that she was not motivated to use social media after her clip criticizing Torrid went viral, saying it has “shaken” her.

Some TikTok users were siding with Hannah over Torrid’s latest clothing release, even demanding that others boycott the brand.
One user wrote: “Just to be clear, Hannah is an inspiration to me.
“My initial comment was meant to co-sign her criticisms of the brand and to call Torrid tired, because they are.”
Another replied: “I have no idea who Hannah is but I’d like to hear about these other options.

Amid the criticism against their brand, Torrid released a statement to their Facebook page on November 3, writing: “To our Torrid community, social media is a space where all voices can be heard.
“As a brand that champions community, we always believe there is a chance to learn and grow from feedback.
“As humans, and as a brand, we encourage all people—fans, customers, and critics alike—to use their voice; no matter the point of view or opinion.
“We will not tolerate harassment and condemn bullying of any kind, internally and externally.
They continued: “We always welcome respectful conversation and would not and have not taken action against anyone for sharing an opposing opinion, including contacting an individual’s employer.
“At Torrid we are always listening and believe our customers make us better.
“They always have and always will.
